This month is National Car Care Month!  According to Carcare.com in a recent survey,

 

  • 25% of cars had low or dirty engine oil.

  • 13% had low or contaminated brake fluid.

  • 18% had dirty air filters.

  • 17% had inadequate cooling protection or low coolant levels.

  • 16% needed new windshield wiper and 27% had low or contaminated washer fluid.

  • 18% needed new belts

Check As Frequently As Possible:

  • Interior and exterior lights

  • Tire Inflation + Tread Wear

  • Engine Oil

 

Check Every Three Months For:

  • Transmission Fluid Levels

  • Fully Charged and Functioning Battery

  • Functioning Exhaust System

  • Other Engine Fluids such as Power Steering FLuid

 

Check Every Six Months For:

  • Wear and Tear on Wiper Blades

  • Adequate Chassis Lubrication

 

Every Nine Months, Repeat the Three Month Checklist

  • Transmission Fluid Levels

  • Fully Charged and Functioning Battery

  • Functioning Exhaust System

  • Other Engine Fluids such as Power Steering Fluid

 

One a Year Check:

  • Brake Function

  • Coolant Levels

  • Wheel Alignment
