Goodyear Endurance Trailer Tires Are Made In The USA

We Americans sure love our toys. Big toys. Expensive toys. Get-out-of-the-house-and-play toys. Our outdoor hobbies take us across the water, along wooded trails, through the snow, and around race tracks. Sometimes we take a whole “house” with us on the highway en route to a campground deep in the forest or some destination several states away.

No matter the toy, or the hobby, or the destination, one thing is likely: we need a trailer to get us there. And when we load our precious boats, jet skis, dirt bikes, ATVs, race cars, and other goodies aboard our trailers – or we stuff a month’s worth of living inside our towable RV – we pile a load of responsibility on our trailer  tires. The only thing between our treasured toys and the ground. Traveling to and from our destinations safe and sound means towing on tires we can trust.

Fortunately, the Goodyear Endurance trailer tire is a trustworthy servant, capable of handling our precious cargo. With their advanced design, maximized tread depth, and special decoupling grooves (to prevent premature and uneven wear), Endurance tires keep their cool at high speeds and yet are capable of handling heavy loads – all while providing a smooth and quiet ride.

Endurance tires are coded with a speed rating of “N”, which means they are safe for highway use. And they are reinforced with Durawall technology and scuff guard in the sidewalls to help resist cuts, punctures, and abrasions.

They even feature a special liner to prevent air loss. And Goodyear Endurance tires are compatible with the  Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS) found on many trailers today, and with portable and commercial inflation stations.

The Goodyear Endurance is a radial design tire reinforced with steel belts. Some people suggest using less-expensive bias-ply tires on a trailer because of their perceived ability to handle heavier loads (and because of the mistaken belief that the benefits of a radial tire are not necessary for a trailer). But the Endurance radial tire carries the ST (Special Trailer) designation that attests to its ability to support heavy weight. And really, a radial tire does make a difference on a trailer. The ride is smoother, the trailer does not sway or bounce as much, and radial tires offer longer tread life.

The quality and  condition of our trailer tires is essential for safety and comfort, but it is often neglected. One simple maintenance item to check on a regular basis is the tire pressure. Low pressure can lead to premature wear and cause a trailer to track poorly. As it is with any car, truck, or SUV suspension,  wheel alignment is important on our trailers too, so that the tires can track correctly. Poor wheel alignment will also lead to premature tire wear. And while it is not common to  rotate the tires on a single-axle trailer, it is necessary on multiple-axle models.

It is also important to inspect the overall state of our trailer tires. Do they show  signs of damage – cuts or abrasions? Or are they betraying their age? Cracked or dry-rotted tires are unsuitable for use. So are tires with a tread depth of less than 2/32 of an inch. In any case, tires that are more than ten years old should be replaced. The date of manufacturer is  printed in code on the side of the tire along with the size, speed rating, and other information.

These preventative tips and more will help to avoid a dreaded  tire blowout along the way.

If it is time to replace the tires on your trailer and you want to  choose the right tires, look to the Goodyear Endurance. With superior performance for the long haul, Endurance tires remain a solid choice. They also fall under the Goodyear replacement limited warranty.

Yes, towing our toys requires a tire we can trust. Goodyear Endurance tires, made right here in the USA (in Gadsden, Alabama and Fayetteville, North Carolina) are the tire of choice for work or for play.
